Basel’s Mitart gallery is home to artists working with painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and video installations. Each year, the gallery brings to the public’s attention the works of talented national and international artists through a number of solo and group shows. Currently exhibiting at Mitart is Swiss artist Matthias Aeberli, with a display of paintings named Trojakomplex which explore the inherent characteristics – artificiality, deceptiveness, and the ability to cause feelings of insecurity – of the mythic Trojan horse.
