PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final London – 11 to 15 September, in London

Come and join the fun this September as the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final comes to London.

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games changed Triathlon forever. In 2013, triathlon returns to London for five days of international competition, creating a fantastic festival atmosphere in and around Hyde Park.

Thousands of people will flock to the centre of London to cheer on the world’s best triathletes and paratriathletes as they compete for world championship titles.

Bestival –  5 to 8 September, in Robin Hull Country Park

Bestival is an award winning 4 day boutique music festival set at Robin Hill – a beautiful leafy country park near Downend and Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight.

The wonderful world of Bestival was born out of ten fun years of pioneering music events and record releases from Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best empire. The BBC Radio 1 leftfield DJ had a dream to one day create his vision of how the modern day festival should be. Along with Creative Director and wife Josie da Bank and co-founders / partners John and Ziggy from Get Involved that dream is now fulfilled. Food and Drink Festival – 13 to 15 of September, in Ludlow

Our Food and Drink Festival started in 1995 and it’s grown and grown ever since – not just in terms of numbers of visitors and exhibitors and events, but also in terms of reputation throughout and beyond the United Kingdom.

Our objective has remained the same: we are celebrating the quality and diversity of the superb independent food and drink producers and suppliers that abound in Ludlow and the Marches.

Blackpool Illuminations for 73 nights from 30 August to 10 November, in Blackpool

Every autumn, Blackpool puts on a sparkling spectacle that will leave you feeling dizzy. The flamboyant light show has been wowing crowds since 1912, when 10,000 bulbs were lit to celebrate Blackpool’s first royal family visit.

Nowadays, more than a million bulbs flash, sparkle and twinkle along Blackpool’s Promenade. And while the thought of one million bulbs coming on at once is enough to send the National Grid into frenzy, you’ll be pleased to know that the lights are powered entirely by renewable resources.

With the sea breeze in your face, screams swirling up from the Pleasure Beach, and giant spaceships shooting at each other across the promenade, the illuminations are a magic experience.

Vodafone London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House – 19 to 22 September, in London

Following London Fashion Week, one of the “big four” fashion trade shows in the world, London Fashion Weekend is a fashionista extravaganza, letting everyone in on the fabulous world of fashion.

Somerset House is transformed into an exclusive fashion experience, brimming with designer catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair and beauty, and educational panels.

Fashion lovers can get their seasonal wardrobe fix from designer brands including Issa London, French Sole and Linda Farrow.

Agatha Christie Festival – 15 to 22 of September, in English Riviera, Torquay

Each year, the English Riviera transforms itself into the murder mystery capital of the country, with ladies and gents in their period finery immersing themselves in tea parties, theatre, dinners on steam trains and vintage bus tours. Why? For the annual award-winning Agatha Christie Festival in honour of the Queen of Crime, who was born in Torquay in 1890.

The festival is a fabulous occasion for fans from all over the world to congregate and celebrate Dame Agatha Christie’s life and times. Round every corner there is a murder mystery: on steam trains, in spooky country inns, and in rambling seaside pubs. You’ll also find competitions, book launches and other exclusive events.

100% Design – 18 to 21 of September, in London

100% Design is the most important exhibition in uk of contemporary design, where it displays what is most modern in furniture, lighting, accessories, wall cladding and flooring, textiles, kitchens and bathrooms.


Decorex International – 22 to 25 of September, in London
