Finborough Theatre

The Finborough Theatre in Earls Court punches well above its weight, presenting award-winning plays and works by new writers in a small theatre above a pub.

The Troubadour

The Troubadour is a lovely little cafe, which hosts an inspiring program of folk, blues, psychedelia and poetry downstairs. It’s also the place where Private Eye was first set up, where Bob Dylan played his first London gigs, the former home of the Black Panthers in Europe and it has hosted gigs by Paul Simon, Charlie Watts, Sammy Davis Jnr and Jimi Hendrix. Music, history, and a great cup of tea, all in one compact package.

North End Road Market

North End Road Market is a taste of real London – a little rough around the edges, it’s true, but that only adds to the appeal of this six-days-a-week market which has been going since the 1880s.

ROCCO London

RoccoLondon is an authentic Italian restaurant with the addition of a Cocktail Bar and a deli shop called Salumeria located in 254-260 Old Brompton Road,Chelsea, London, SW5 9HR. The restaurant has a relaxed and comfortable design produced from a clever recycling attitude from the builders buckets lamp shades to the recycled table mats. With typical inter-regional Italian cusine, all products are produced in house from breads, grissini and and focaccia baked on a daily basis, fresh pasta made on the premises, with a addition of a delicious desserts buffet displaying a wide selection of home made cakes.

Holland Park

Pretty, petit Holland Park is the ideal location for those wanting to escape the clamour of the city but who don’t want to travel too far out of the centre. Tucked away in one of London’s most elegant districts.

The Harwood Arms

From the people who own the highly rated Pot Kiln in Frilsham, the food is along the same best of British lines, think great game and wild produce, much of which is sourced from the nearby Berkshire countryside. Resolutely down to earth, they get the basics just right. Their signature dish, to give an example, is a venison Scotch egg, to be enjoyed as a bar snack, and they serve the best potatoes in London – crushed and fried to perfection. Sunday is a celebration of all things delicious and British.

Bar Local (Fulham)

Bar Local is a popular meeting spot in this Zone 2 corner of London, and has a welcoming vibe. Tables and banquettes line the bright, warm walls and the music policy, on the right side of hip, is never intrusive; although on Fridays and Saturdays they have some excellent live jazz to set the tone for the weekend. On weekdays it’s simply a chilled spot.
