Inside Lisbon’s Most Famous And Modern Museum –  Since its grand opening, the MAAT Museum in Lisbon (Portugal) has become a landmark to the city. This is definitely a coveted place for design lovers, that you need to include in your trip guide through the city’s delights!

At the MAAT (museum for Art, Architecture, and Technology) these three areas come together in a space that incentives debate, discovery and modern critic thought.

Inside Lisbon’s Most Famous And Modern Museum This modern museum was an initiative from the EDP Foundation and has the constant ambition to present national and international exhibitions with the contribution of contemporary artists, architects, and thinkers.

This innovative project, located next to the river in Belém, was created by the by Amanda Levete Architects, one of the national examples of industrial architecture, and Central Tejo, one of the most visited museums in the country. The MAAT Museum grand opening was on the 5th October 2016. In just two years more than 800 thousand visitors which is quite a record.

The Oval Gallery, a thousand square space, is the first room that visitors will see after entering this art museum. This incredible gallery is reserved for large-scale interventions, different from the conventional format of an exhibition.
