The contemporary architect takes his talents to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Stir in the first Gehry designed fine dining restaurant on the East Coast!

The Modern Restaurant Inside The Philadelphia Museum of Art This grand opening marks the first step of the museum’s Gehry-led Core Project, that is going to be finished in 2020. This design project, which comprises a number of major upgrades to the stately Greek Revival, will expand the museum’s public spaces by over 90,000 square feet. The statement piece of this contemporary restaurant is definitely the amazing ceiling artwork, called the aerial centerpiece. The undulating architectural form king, Gehry added a sculptural wood piece hanged above 76 quartzite tables and the sleek leather chairs in a rich maroon.

The Modern Restaurant Inside The Philadelphia Museum of Art A few days before the opening, guests had the opportunity to try some of the top recipes of the menu, like scallops with crispy potatoes, a salad of grilled Jersey peaches and stracciatella cheese, and roasted Griggstown chicken.
