Burberry is bringing its digital platform Art of the Trench to Los Angeles, celebrating the creative community in the heart of this dynamic and influential city.
Over 40 of the city’s established and emerging creative pioneers from the worlds of music, arts, fashion, film, and sports have been shot through innovative mobile capture wearing their Burberry trench coats in iconic landmarks and neighbourhoods throughout the city. Subjects include Ashley Madekwe, Cat Deeley, Zen Freeman, Thomas Houseago, Ann Philbin, Lee Clow, Nigel Daly, and Zanna Roberts Rassi.
Art of the Trench celebrates the iconic Burberry trench coat and the people who wear it. The concept invites people to submit portraits of themselves wearing their trench coats from around the world to feature on the site which has had over 24.8 million page views in over 200 countries since launching in 2009.
Meanwhile, pro skater Ben Nordberg gives meaning to the term personal style by pairing his classic midnight trench with a tattered T-shirt and cuffed jeans.
To coincide with the launch of its flagship store opening on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles this month, Burberry photographed 40 of L.A.’s tastemakers for its Art of the Trench digital campaign, which launches today. Taken on iPhones by leading Los Angeles-based mobile photographers, these A-listers in fashion, film, music, and more take the streets of L.A.
