You must visit 1stdibs’ gallery in the heart of New York – Interior design shop 1stdibs just opened a new gallery in New York City. The leading global marketplace online of luxury and antique beautiful pieces had a spot at the must-visit series of showrooms in New York Design Center and it now moves to the Terminal Stores building at 269 11th Avenue. 1stdibs’ gallery is filled with auctioned design and art pieces and has already opened its doors to the public.
The late-19th-century brick warehouse and relay station was once the location of The Tunnel, a legendary nightclub, and it now stores the most recent showroom in the building. In comparison with its previous place in 200 Lexington, this location allows more possibilities from classic art and antiques to rising stars in the business, showcasing over 50-odd exhibitors and luxury interior design pieces.
“The Gallery presents one-of-a-kind antique treasures, vintage finds and the best new and custom creations, all artfully presented by an international array of exhibitors”, said David Rosenblatt, CEO of 1stdibs.
While continuing to be the design industry’s leading e-commerce platform, 1stdibs’ gallery wants to adapt and create a new personal relationship with its costumers. Visitors will be able to scan items for more detailed pieces of information.
Among the exhibitors that are currently in the showroom, 1stdibs will open an exhibition produced by Italian artist Mattia Biagi during Frieze Los Angeles on February 15.
